Merger Announcement

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that I have recently finalised a business merger that will significantly enhance the value and services that we are now able to provide all our clients.

Compton & Associates have now merged with Crest Financial Services, a leading financial planning practice based in Newcastle.

Our firm has had a great professional relationship with Crest Financial Services for several years, and the principals of Crest have recognised the value of extending this relationship to a committed merger and expansion of both our practices.

The merged firm will be known as Crest Financial Services and will have around 33 staff across 4 offices in the Hunter and Central Coast region: Newcastle, East Maitland, Nelson Bay and Gosford. You will see the same friendly staff at our East Maitland office and also have access to several other professional advisers in the areas of Taxation, Investments, Superannuation and Insurance Advice.

The merger of our businesses will significantly enhance the services that we will be able to provide to you and at the same time establish a significant accounting and business advisory practice in the region.

As a combined practice we are now able to offer all of our clients a wide range of comprehensive services in relation to:

•   personal insurances
•   retirement planning
•   superannuation and investment needs
•   accounting
•   tax
•   business advisory
•   auditing.

The merger has adopted a corporate structure comprising Crest Accounting and Crest Financial Services. Both companies will operate under the name Crest Financial Services. Crest Accounting has its head office in East Maitland while Crest Financial Services has its head office in Newcastle. The practice, know as Compton & Associates will continue as an auditing practice only.
